Pett ("we," "us," or "our") is an independently developed app committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address when you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple.
• Pet profiles: Pet name, species, breed, age, weight, photos, and other details you enter.
• Health and care data: Medication schedules, dose history, health records, vet visits, and grooming appointments you log.
• Location: Approximate location when you use the nearby vet finder. We do not store your location on our servers.
• Device identifiers: A push notification token (FCM token) to send you reminders and alerts. Device identifiers are also collected by Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting.
• Usage data: App interactions and crash reports collected automatically by Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics.
• Purchase history: Subscription and purchase information processed by RevenueCat to manage your Pett Pro subscription.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Pett app and its features.
• To send medication and care reminders you set up.
• To notify you about matches, messages, and shared pet activity.
• To improve and debug the app using aggregated analytics.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Information Sharing

• Co-owners and caregivers: Pet health and care data you enter is shared with other users you invite to co-manage a pet.
• Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for authentication, data storage, push notifications, analytics, and crash reporting. Data is stored and processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect purchase history and device identifiers. See their Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps: Location is passed to Google Maps to display nearby vets. Google's Privacy Policy applies.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us, which will result in the deletion of your profile and associated pet data within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

Pett is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
